From the founder, Brittany James-Womack:
"It all started from watching my mother change my father’s diet after being diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. From the beginning, I had to follow in my mother’s footsteps and confront the same issue when my husband was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I had to face the truth.
This completely derailed my plans for myself and my husband’s life together. I felt completely hopeless and depressed for a long time. Then, I saw a commercial of Montel Williams who famously overcame his MS symptoms with smoothies and I was motivated to find the answer. The principles I learned by watching my parents struggle through their health challenges suddenly came to life. I relentlessly researched medical study after study on MS, doctor after doctor who found solutions by changing their patients' diet. I didn’t stop. I even became vegan! My endless pursuit of the truth helped me change my family’s diets helping my husband heal through natural wellness from many of his MS symptoms.
HOWEVER …
I didn’t just use him as a guinea pig, rather he was my catalyst to use natural wellness to heal myself from postpartum depression and chronic pain after childbirth. I then used the wisdom of committing to stay faithful and thrive in a clean lifestyle of eating, cooking, and living that improves my husband's symptoms daily.
Staying steadfast to God’s promise to heal my husband through obedience and natural means, I harnessed the knowledge and passion to teach and inspire others to live in what I call Divine Health. I am here to challenge the status quo of traditional medicine through tasty natural food and beverages and teach others to do the same for themselves. But that’s easier said than done.
In today’s time, you have so many distractions and are swallowed up by a system of never-ending want and desire. This makes you THINK you need something and even entitled to have it, but when you pull back the curtains, there is a huge conglomerate trying to make money off of your pain, sickness, and disease.
So, you’re bombarded with messages of how this medication with 1,000 side effects can give you relief when really, the answer is found in the ground. It is nearly impossible to take the time to source, cook, and healthily consume your food let alone implement an entire life change for your overall wellness.
But I must confess I had an UNFAIR advantage…
Well, when I did my first set of research on how to improve my husband’s health through food, he gave me an edge. He was still working and showing me how every day, the changes I was making to our diet were helping him stay energized and motivated to keep working. Two years later, we decided to start having children. And then came two. Twins! I quickly slipped into a depression with all the pain I experienced from being a taxed caregiver while my husband was still working and then BOOM. He leaves his job…right after the twins are born. And then another one. Now, I had three (babies) under three, a disabled husband … drowning in debt, depression, pain, and the overwhelming need to pack up and go back home to Compton, CA to live with my mom. But the light at the end of the tunnels was…
My Community…
I always had a remnant of people constantly checking in, bringing food, caring about our struggle, and providing for our needs. I had help! And you can have it too.
I’m a natural-born, former special education teacher. I know how to break things down.
But I also know how to connect to my students and hold their hand through their struggles especially when it gets tough to keep going."
